The most popular wildlife artist of his time, Hunt could truly capture the spirit of his subjects, be they duck, fox or snipe, etc. Tall, 4to format, this book contains 44 b/w plates and 4 tissue guarded full color plates. While the dj has a 3 1/2 by 2 1/4 inch piece out of the top front, only part of the title and author's name are missing, the illustration being 99 and 4/100th intact. That there is a dj at all is remarkable for this book. It is one that must be looked thru over and over, and in 66 years djs don't stand up very often on such books.
